Willow came in to the rescue centre where I was working having had come from a house of 30 cats. Unfortunately the others cats from her home were too ill and either died or needed to be put to sleep.Willowe was booked in as a kitten but in fact was a kitten in kitten! I fell in love with her immediately and after she had her kittens Willow came home with me. She became my sole mate and at one point when I reached a particular low, she became my only reason for being. Willow was my shining light and I loved her with every bit of my heart and sole.
Sadly Willow only had five years with us. After becoming acutely ill one moringing she was admitted to the vets as an emergency. Sadly the following morning when I went to visit her and the vet and I decided that the time had come to let her rest in peace. She was just 6 years old. Letting her go was the single most difficult thing I have ever done and left me completely broken. Now I am thankful that I met and loved this cat who was one in a million. Everyone who met Willow adored her. She was small, cuddly, talkative, persuasive and just gorgeous. A little bit like some other cats I now know.
I know there are good people looking after her now and and she has others treasured friends to play with.
They are all there, all in those meadows just beyond Rainbow Bridge.
God Bless you Willow and all that are there with you.
Until we meet again run free.
